Five UPDATES: My New Experiment in Productivity and Organization…

August 2, 2007 · 2 Comments

A prerequisite for me (and perhaps you too) living a compassionate, faith inspired life is for me to get my life and priorities straight so I can maximize my time at work, with family, and with friends.

• Action!: Just do it! Seize the NOW! Seize the Day! Seize the Hour! Seize the Minute! Get going now! Its where the rubber means the road.

• Look for Vision: What are my long-term goals?

• Baby Steps: [Thanks to Mom and budget guru Dave Ramsey] What can I do in this 30-minute block to advance my passions forward?

• Clean Workspace. This includes my desk, my desktop.

• Refreshment. Relaxing. Recharging. Rest. Spiritual & physical

• Drop it. Cutting out the chaff and time wasters.

• Focus on priorities. Posting a wipe board and a posting board for goals and ideas. Record and Organize ideas.

• Contribute. Conversation. Collaborate. Fellowship. Community. Listen. Relationship.

• Jump in! Risk. Speak up. Speak out.

• Zooming. Creativity. Innovation.

• Focus on faithful stewardship.

• Visualize. Synthesize. Metaphor. Paint a picture.

• Balance. Maintaining work-life-family-friend balance.

Do you have a plan of attack for yourself? Any suggestions? Do you have any favorite websites for these topics besides lifehack and 43folders?

(ps the five new ones are from contribute to visualize )
