Sweet wordpress theme, summer camp, and God’s will…

The mega-success of Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life proves that finding our purpose in life in sometimes messy.  I ran across pomomusings today and noticed that Adam was an author for one of the chapters of an Emergent Manifesto of Hope.  One snippet really spoke to me and echoed in my heart:

“As a freshman religion major, one of the most vexing theological crises I encountered was the question of God’s will: what was God’s will for my life?  Through the counsel of a professor, I was able to see that the will of God was not one of life’s ultimate secret or a hidden treasure that needed to be carefully sought after.  Rather, the will of God was in fact a way of life, a way of looking at the world, a way of relating to God and to the others in my life.  Once I realized this, the questions that had been so debilitating for me, such as which Christian summer camp I would work at for the summer, became superfluous.  While I still sought counsel and advice from close friend and family on major life decisions, I didn’t let those decisions cause me much frustration.”

For someone concerned about such things in my life this feels like a BIG relief.  This combined with prayerful living can help me along my life journey… Thoughts?

FYI.  For those of you who tuned in for the wordpress themes.  Adam also has a great WordPress theme.  Very slick.  A great blog all around at Pomomusings too.

I just recalled that I hadn’t been to your site in a while. I also met one of the folks you designed for at Social Media Club in DC, before I moved to Nashville.

I think I went to your resources or writing section. I hope that answered your question. Thanks for stopping by…

Where can I read more of Adam’s word if you don’t mind sharing?
