Whether you are a nonprofit or a religiously oriented organization there is overwhelming evidence that indicates that you should be blogging.

• First, blogs are personal expression engines which allow you to tell the story of your organization.

• Second, the job of the CEO or nonprofit management professional is to provide leadership and communication.

• Third, blogs do 95% of what email does, but far more in that they enable people across the globe the ability to access critical information about your organization 24/7

• Fourth, the speed of information delivery afforded by blogs allow you to communicate with media, business, and public policy professionals.

• Fifth, blogs are far cheaper to operate than the alternatives.  They enable you to break your dependency on someone with HTML or PHP knowledge to do your web work.  Blogs empower you and your employees to directly create and participate in important online communication.

Its hard to estimate the effect of blogs on the fundamental nature of our communication over the coming decades. For more on why blogging and social media is critical to organizations of all shapes and sizes stay tuned in the coming days.
