A Year of Living Like Jesus

Reverend Ed Dobson | A Year of Living Like Jesus

Ever wondered hat would it be like to live more like Jesus? Check out this short interview clip with Dobson on the issue of his Year of Living Like Jesus, which aired on Good Morning America

In the interview Dobson speaks to the issue and challenge of living up to Romans 12:14. Michigan Live has coverage as well:

GRAND RAPIDS — The Rev. Ed Dobson is living like Jesus these days, and new Cornerstone University President Joe Stowell says that’s just what his campus needs.

Stowell has named Dobson, the retired pastor of Calvary Church, to the new position of vice president for spiritual formation. Dobson will tend to the spiritual needs of students, faculty and staff as part of Stowell’s plan to make the Christian school “spiritually contagious.”

“I want him to bring his creative and innovative concepts to the task of stimulating the spiritual vitality of this campus,” said Stowell, who took office Feb. 1.

The appointment seems fitting for Dobson, who has devoted this year to emulating Jesus. He is growing his beard, eating kosher and avoiding work on the Sabbath, as Jesus did.

“I have a deep interest in promoting the Jesus lifestyle,” said Dobson, 58, who retired from Calvary in 2005 because he is battling Lou Gehrig’s disease, or ALS. “If we can get students deeply committed to following Jesus’ teaching, we can probably change the world.”
