Who ranks corporate social responsibility (csr)

Ranking Corporate Social Responsibility

I recently did business research to find out “who rankings companies for social responsibility?” or perhaps “what rankings for corporate citizenship and ethics are best?”

One of new trends in CSR is the push toward assessing social impact. This is a way that tells stake holders like consumers and investors how a company’s triple bottom line is effected by corporate activities in a way that is 1) tangible 2) comparative 3) easy to understand and communicate 4) maintains validity. Ultimately, focusing on assessing social impact will ultimately provide the most advantageous allocation of resources.

CSR Ranking Sources

FTSE Index Company: For Good Index Series (FTSE Fact Sheet)
Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (Dow Jones Criteria)
KLD Indexes
Global Reporting Initiative

I’m curious how the research at RISE on social impact assessment could impact the creation of more useful company indexes.

Now I’m going to open it up for you my readers: who does the best job of ranking corporate social responsibility. Are there rankings to avoid or that are useless given the data sets they integrate in their
algo?

This corporate social responsibility (CSR) website just launched. I don’t know what criteria they use, but its very cool.

It seems like you could create an RSS based on the site, to distribute it on various sites.

    Very cool.
