Training and Curriculum Software for Rapid E-learning Development:
Articulate has several tools and is very popular.
Adobe E-learning Suite including their flagship Captivate
Powerpoint and Keynote from Mac can also help creating visual communication and learning
Of course there are a host of web 2.0 tools including video and Skype which can be used to fill the gaps. Moodle is one of the examples of these tools (blogs, wikis, and podcasts are also available for free)
For audio the free tool Audacity, Sound Fourge, or the Macintosh’s free tool Garage Band (and perhaps iMovie) may prove helpful.
Finally Education Atlas provides a fairly comprehensive rundown of many k-12 e-learning companies. Of course the Open Directory Project (DMOZ) and Google directory also have directories of e-learning solutions and companies.
Finally, E-learning product comparisons by demonstration (or example) at the University of Delaware are helpful.

The E-learning guilds e-learning product buying guide filters digital training systems and e-learning management systems by category. Its extremely helpful for folks who want to know about industry products:

Then instead of researching 500 products, you can focus on 20 or 30 products. Or at least you can focus your questions to professionals in the industry.
