Example: Organizing for Home Health Workers

I have mixed feelings about unions–probably more good than bad, but mixed none-the-less. To me, home health workers seem to need a union or a collective group for sharing and thoughtful action more than almost any other group. Here are some of the themes and ideas and takeaways I’ve noticed around one of these groups:
“Love, respect, and courage”
Storytelling
Reframe: their importance (engine of NY)
Significance: changes coming in terms of
Love march–their kids & the kids they care for (very colorful–very visual).
moment in time/”public imagination”
5 fingers–priorities (including one which integrates the opposition)
6 or 7 years in NY

Requires eternal optimism
