Richard Dawkins argument for intelligent design of DNA

As Dawkins notes, ‘‘The machine code of the genes is uncannily computerlike.’’ 4² Or, as software innovator Bill Gates explains, ‘‘DNA is like a computer program, but far, far more advanced than any software we’ve ever created.’’4³ In the case of a computer code, the specific arrangement of just two symbols (0 and 1) suffices to carry information.
