Christian books that will change your life and faith

Christian books that will build your life and faith

Good to Great for the Christian by Chip Ingram
Radical, by David Platt
Radical Together, by David Platt
In a Pit With a Lion on a Sunny Day, by Mark Batterson
God is in the Dock by CS Lewis (a challenging read in some respects–and its too bad that more people don’t read this one)
Any book by Anne Lamont (I’ve heard that Grace Finally is the lesser of her 4 books & my guess is Bird by Bird is more about writing than faith)
Any book about spiritual disciplines (Thomas Merton is a little on the hyperbolic side….but is interesting and inspirational. He could use an editor which had a little keener interest in representing the Bible better. Thats just my opinion. I’m not sure who his editor was & Thomas obviously has some

I recommend reading the Chip Ingram book, the first David Platt book (Radical), and the Mark Batterson book. If you don’t want to get off the bench and do something, I don’t know what will make you.

Two books that changed my life are Mere Christianity, by C.S. Lewis and Christian Atheist, by Craig Groeschel. Currently reading C.S. Lewis’s Screwtape Letters and felt convicted within a page or two — his insight into human nature is amazing. Just ordered David Platt’s Radical and after reading the summary, I’m really looking forward to it.
