How can companies break down the boundaries between departmental silos
I would suggest one or more of the following:
• Boundary spanners (this usually arises naturally or bottom-up, but I’m curious about the way it can be incentivized or encouraged in the organization).
• Group facilitation
• Collaborative problem solving (could be group games in mini-working groups.)
• Intra-departmental working groups/teams
• Social events together
• Team games that force collaboration among departments
Human interaction and conversations. Learning the humanity of other people in the company. Learning the passions of other people in the company. And learning from the perspectives of other people in the company.
